 We are proud to have instructed a large class of graduates at our recent Firewalking Instructor Training (FIT). It was my largest class ever and a complete success. I am grateful for everyone's participation. You played full out and reaped many breakthroughs! Spread the power of firewalking.

Three executive firewalking instructors took part and moved closer toward master certification. In addition, we graduated a class of newly certified firewalking instructors representing four continents.

We led a glasswalking demonstration at CareerConnection, a group that helps professionals network and stay positive while making career transitions. Tomorrow May Never Come, Do It Today!

More than any other thing, firewalking has taught me the concept of Do-It-Now. Found your guidance? Move! Walk! Use your fear to fuel momentum! And do it joyfully, of course. This is so powerfully anchored in me that the mere inkling of hesitation kicks me into "firewalk-mode."
Growing up, my mother taught a more gentle approach: never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. She was usually talking about homework or housework, but today I apply that concept to everything I do (except homework and housework!).
Energy Flows Where Attention Goes
If you're like me, you have no problem doing things that are fun, exciting, relaxing, or make money. Activities such as these are highly reinforcing, and therefore get our full attention. But when it comes to unsavory tasks - organizing paperwork, cleaning out the email inbox, doing the laundry - it's more about "getting it over with."
We also put off things that we might regret putting off if our life's circumstances were to change.
"I'll hug my kid later."
"I'll call mom tomorrow."
"I'll say I love you next time."
At one time or another, we have all learned that the time may never come. The window of opportunity slammed shut in our face, and we never got the chance.
Personally, I've learned this a few too many times. I've told myself I'll never do it again. (Next time, I'll say I'm sorry, I love you, or I just called to say hi.) I hope I've gotten the lesson before it comes around again.
Seize the Moment
Life is fragile. Things change. When they do, people move in other directions, get busy or lose touch. It doesn't happen overnight. If it did, maybe we'd get jarred back to our senses. But because life changes in stages, time often passes before we realize that something has gone on too long. When this happens, for some reason, it becomes more difficult to go back and pick up the pieces.
Difficult, yes. Impossible? Absolutely not!
If you've had a falling out with someone you care about, and your heart yearns to reconnect, take the first step. Does it really matter whose fault it was to begin with? Reach out! You may find that the person wanted to reconnect with you just as much. Set your pride aside and go for it. The worst that could happen is that things stay the same. You won't know until you risk. Love breaks down all barriers. Cliché, but true.
Just Get Started
Make a list of things you've put off. Remind yourself that you don't have to do any of them until you are ready. Write them down for now. Look at the list and number it in the order of priority. Ask yourself, "do I really want this? How will my life change when I tie up this loose end?"
Then make your move. Life is too short to wait. If words are not spoken in the moment, you may never have the chance. Don't go to bed angry. Even if you're busy, stop what you're doing and throw your arms around your six foot teenager before he goes out with friends. Let him blush! Call your mom and say "I love you, Mom." Better yet say, "thank you for the sacrifices you made so that I could have a great life - thank you for giving me life."
Forgive and ask forgiveness. We all make mistakes. Free yourself and another and allow your relationship to flourish.
Tomorrow may never come. Do it today!

BizTelevision Features Empowerment
The Ruthless Entrepreneur, Mark McClure, featured a demonstration of glasswalking and rebar bending on his new show on BizTelevision. He invited Charles Horton of FIRE to appear on the first telecast. McClure offers tips, techniques and strategies on "closing the sale" and other marketing and business topics. Red Hot Sparks
Executive firewalking instructor (advanced level) Mike Agugliaro staged a full suite of empowerment exercises in New Jersey on August 22. Activities included glasswalking, board breaking, arrow snapping with the throat, the trust fall, and a nighttime firewalk. He's a martial artist and businessman.
In Virginia, an article about a birthday firewalk produced by Chris Livingston ran in his hometown newspaper. He is a certified firewalking instructor who believes that it's important to run monthly events. "I am also working on getting a permit to do an event... on the walking mall here in Winchester (Virginia USA) for Halloween - which means more media coverage. I am planning on making this thing viral!" he told FIRE.
The Indian community was introduced to empowerment exercises by one of our newest certified firewalking instructors, Murtaza Badri. The event took place in Tampa, Florida (USA). Activities included a trust fall, board breaking and rebar bending with the throat. Badri is a life coach in Mumbai, India.
Astute readers may notice that we've pushed back two articles projected for this month. Once we have more information, we'll share them.
